The aim of the parish stems from divinely empowering lives by raising generals like Abraham, Gideon, Jephthah, Joseph, David, Deborah, and Esther in all spheres of life. Daily living for Christ and exhibiting commendable virtues like those of these generals in the open and in the secret.

Abraham, for example, was faithful, obedient, blessed beyond measure, yet feared God, while Gideon thought he cannot be used because of his little background, but became a tremendous battle axe for God. Jephthah, an outcast, who through training became skillful and was later sought for by those who threw him out to be their leader.

Deborah, a prophetess, a wife and a judge; who balanced spiritual, family and career amazingly. Esther, an orphan, humbled herself under the mentorship of her uncle and became a queen and savior of her nation. Joseph, though a youth in a foreign land maintained his integrity and refused to let destiny destroyer (Potiphar’s wife) to truncate the fulfillment of his dream and David who was regarded as too young to fight Goliath, but did in the name of the Lord. In addition, like the good Samaritan, to reach out to the youth, men and women on the streets who have been battered, with the love of Jesus.
